LOOKOUT VALLEY MEAT GOATS
BUCK COLLECTION
Every year we host a buck collection in the fall. This allows goat raisers in the area to get 'insurance', in the form of collected semen on their herd sires. The loss of TX02 Viagra was mitigated by the knowledge we had over 200 straws of his semen on hand. His genetics have continued to positively influence our herd, thanks to artificial insemination.
We just completed the buck collection for 2009. We plan to host another in the fall of 2010. Superior Semen Works, Geoff and Nancy Masterman, collect and process the semen.
